Kevin Camden

Kevin D. Camden PT, OCS is the founder and the co-owner of the Orthopedic and Sports Therapy Institute. In October of 1998, Kevin recognized the need for quality health care services in the Boone County area and opened Belvidere Physical Therapy. Also, in May of 2000 he opened McHenry County Physical Therapy to fully serve both Boone and McHenry Counties. Kevin is a graduate of Saint Louis University of Physical Therapy, where he was voted the outstanding senior of allied health programs, and graduated with high honors.

His internships included Barnes Hospital Acute/Orthopedic Center, Jefferson Barracks Veterans Center Spinal Cord Injury Unit, and Deaconess Hospital Orthopedic Rehab Center. During this time, he participated in multiple independent studies in stroke rehabilitation and injuries of the spine. He has gained a variety of experience working as a physical therapist. He worked one year at Quad City Regional spine institute then took over at Davenport Medical Center as Director of Physical Therapy where he spent 4 years and opened their occupational therapy department. He also assisted with the accreditation, curriculum development, and teaching of the Physical Therapist Assistant program, at Blackhawk Community College.

He then served as director of rehab at Rochelle Community Hospital where he developed occupational health programs and has consulted for Commonwealth Edison, Eaton Corporation, Hines Lumber and Total Logistic Controls. Kevin's areas of expertise include orthopedic, industrial, and sports rehabilitation. In 2005, Kevin passed his examination to become a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). He is also a certified clinician in Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (ASTYMŽ) for treating tendonitis type conditions and fits individuals with custom orthotics for foot and ankle related disorders. In addition, Kevin is a certified WorkSTEPS evaluator for Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) and pre-employment screenings.

Josh Meyers

Josh Meyers, PT, OCS is the co-owner and director of Belvidere Physical Therapy in Belvidere, IL. Josh graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy in 1999. Since that time, Josh has worked closely with patients and physicians to rehabilitate patients with sports injuries, industrial injuries, and other orthopedic injuries.

Josh continues to develop his clinical knowledge and treatment skills through a variety of continuing education curriculum. Although manual therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation are his focus, he also participates in studies with practical applications of biomechanics and kinesiology for rehabilitation. As a Clinical Instructor and Clinical Coordinator for Continuing Education, Josh mentors students from various universities.

In 2005, Josh passed the examination to become a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association. Josh continues his role as a physical therapist as he keeps a focus on patient treatment and clinic development.

Paula McKenzie

Paula is a graduate of Ohio University where she graduated with high honors with a BS in Physical Therapy in 1992. Her experience in physical therapy includes extensive work with sports injuries, industrial injuries, orthopedic post-surgical and non-surgical injuries, geriatrics and women's health. Paula has been able to advance her knowledge through working in several types of facilities over her career.

She has had the opportunity to work in a Work Hardening Facility, a Physician owned private practice, and in independent outpatient orthopedic facilities. Paula has been specializing in treatment of Women's Health issues since 1998 with emphasis on treatment of pelvic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence, pregnancy and post-partum lower back pain and dysfunction, and entrapment syndromes.

Paula is trained in both internal and external muscle evaluation of the pelvic floor as well as in biofeedback. She has also been active in the educational process for Physical Therapy students. As a Clinical Instructor and the Clinical Coordinator for Clinical Education at four companies, Paula has been responsible for development and implementation for policies and procedures for education of students within the clinical setting. Paula sought out a position at Belvidere Physical Therapy in 2001 and was the first therapist to bring treatment of Women's Health to the Boone County area. She became an ASTYM certified therapist in 2004.

Lori Gulsrud-Neiber

Lori is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy in 1992. Her initial experience came while working in a rural community. She worked with a wide variety of patients in acute care hospital settings, nursing homes, school systems, home health and outpatient orthopedics. She continued her experience in outpatient orthopedic and post surgical rehabilitation settings where she focused on manual therapy, spinal rehab, industrial rehab, women's health issues, aquatic therapy, and vestibular rehabilitation.

Lori began specializing in Women's Health issues in 1999 and she focused on treatment of urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, pregnancy (pre through postnatal) and low back pain. She has been trained in internal and external assessment of the pelvic floor musculature and biofeedback. She is trained in John Barnes Myofascial Release Techniques and Kinesio Taping as well. In 2006, she was trained in Vestibular Rehabilitation and in 2007, she was trained in Functional Capacity Evaluations. She has also been a clinical instructor for multiple students, enhancing their learning process. In March of 2004, Lori brought her expertise to the Belvidere Physical Therapy team.

Randy Wright, MS, ATC/L

Randy Wright, MS, ATC/L is the Director of Industrial Rehabilitation for Orthopedic and Sports Therapy Institute (OSTI). He is a graduate of Lewis University where he received a bachelor's degree in athletic training. Randy went on to pursue his master's degree in exercise physiology from the University of Illinois - Chicago.

Prior to joining OSTI in 2008, Randy served for ten years as the Job Placement Specialist for the Chrysler Belvidere Assembly Plant. His essential job functions included; job placement, work injury prevention programs, ergonomic analysis, on-site job coaching, and assisting with injury and accident investigations.

Randy received advanced training in ergonomics and work injury prevention through United Auto Workers and Chrysler. While at Chrysler, he was a member of the medical team that won the Corporate Health Achievement Award in 2005 from the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine.

Overall, Randy has nineteen years experience in serving the northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin communities in occupational health and industrial medicine. Services and programs include; developing and supervising work hardening programs, on-site job coaching, writing job descriptions, administering post-offer and Fit For Duty job screens, and completing Functional Capacity Evaluations.

Randy's advanced training includes; working with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, completing ergonomic job site analyses. OSHA authorized 10 and 30 hour general outreach, program trainer, and certification in functional ergonomics from WorkWell systems.

He also is a trained and certified provider of Functional Capacity Evaluations and post-offer testing through the WorkSTEPS Functional Employment Testing Program.

Timothy Seppelt PT, DPT

Timothy Seppelt PT, DPT is a 2008 graduate of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. He focused his clinical experience on sub-acute care, outpatient orthopedics, and military-based physical therapy. Tim currently specializes in orthopedics and sports medicine and plans to pursue education that will enhance his treatment skills in these areas.

Timothy is a native of Springfield, IL. He holds a Bachelor's degree in biology from Illinois State University. He choose to pursue a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree to better prepare himself for working with patients in his specialty area and allow himself opportunities to advance professionally. In 2008, Tim brought his expertise to the Belvidere Physical Therapy team and is excited about serving patients in the Boone county area.
